Napkin for convenience stores
They asked for a drink you don’t carry. Then left.
Napkin sends you a short report each morning: what customers asked for, what ran out, and when the register froze.
About $1 a day. Nothing to install on your registers.
Sample report. Not a real store.
Good morning. Here's Thursday at Main Street.
Customers asked for
Customers asked for an energy drink brand you don't carry.
A customer asked whether you sell phone chargers. You do, but they're behind the counter.
Ran out
Bagged ice: out by 3 p.m. Breakfast burritos: gone by 8 a.m.
At the counter
The register froze twice during the morning rush.
Your team
The morning clerk mentioned the coffee deal to most customers. The evening shift can match it.
Today
Look at adding that energy drink. Order more ice before the weekend. Put up a sign for chargers.

3:06 p.m.
They leave and buy it down the street.

It’s in your report.

Questions
- How does Napkin know what customers asked for?
- The beacon picks up talk at the counter. Napkin turns it into short notes for your report. Audio is deleted after 7 days by default. You choose how long notes are kept, up to 12 months.
- Do I need to tell customers and staff?
- Yes. We give you a counter sign and a short note for your team. Rules differ by state, and we’ll walk you through yours on the call.
- What does it cost?
- About $1 a day. See pricing for details.
- Do I need to change my POS or install software?
- No. Napkin doesn’t touch your registers.
- How does setup work?
- Plug the beacon in near the counter and connect it to your store’s Wi-Fi from your phone. Your first report comes within a day or two.
- What about my staff?
- It’s about the shift, not one person. The report shows what worked so every shift can do it too.
- What happens to the data?
- Conversation data is not used to train models outside Napkin. See our privacy page for details.
