Sample report. Not a real store.

Good morning. Here's Saturday at Main Street.

Customers asked for

Three walk-ins left between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. All wanted a gel fill.

Two clients asked if you do dip powder. The front desk wasn’t sure.

Ran out

Gel top coat: down to the last bottle. Cuticle oil for sale at the desk: sold out.

At the front desk

Checkout backed up at 2 p.m. Clients waited to pay while the phone rang.

Your team

The morning shift offered nail art with most gel sets. The afternoon shift can match it.

Today

Start a walk-in wait list with names and numbers. Settle the dip powder answer with the team. Order gel top coat.

A normal day at your nail salon

It happens every day. Now you’ll know.

  1. 11:30 a.m.

A walk-in asks for a gel fill. Every tech is booked.

  2. 11:31 a.m.

They say they’ll try another salon. Nobody takes a number.

  3. Next day, 7 a.m.

    It’s in your report.

Questions

How does Napkin know what clients asked for?
The beacon sits at the front desk and picks up talk there: check-in, booking and checkout. Napkin turns it into short notes for your report. Audio is deleted after 7 days by default. You choose how long notes are kept, up to 12 months.
Where does the beacon go?
At the front desk, away from the nail tables. The report is about the desk: who walked in, what they asked for, and how checkout went. We’ll help you pick the spot on the call.
Do I need to tell clients and staff?
Yes. We give you a sign for the front desk and a short note for your team. Rules differ by state, and we’ll walk you through yours on the call.
What does it cost?
About $1 a day. See pricing for details.
Do I need to change my booking app or register?
No. Napkin doesn’t touch your booking app or your register.
What about my staff?
It’s about the shift, not one tech. The report shows what worked so every shift can do it too.
What happens to the data?
Conversation data is not used to train models outside Napkin. See our privacy page for details.
