NapkinMorning report

Sample report. Not a real store.

Good morning. Here's Wednesday at the Main Street store.

Customers asked for

Several shoppers asked where the gluten-free bread moved. The new spot isn't signed.

Shoppers asked for Halloween candy in bulk bags. Only single bags are on the shelf.

Ran out

Rotisserie chicken: out by 5:30 p.m. Bananas: low at close.

At checkout

A card reader at checkout declined tap payments through the lunch rush.

Your team

The morning cashiers offered the loyalty card on most sales. The evening shift can match it.

Today

Sign the gluten-free bread spot. Cook a second batch of chicken at 4 p.m. Check that card reader before noon.

A normal day at your grocery store

It happens every day. Now you’ll know.

  2. 12:25 p.m.

Checkout backs up. Nobody points the way.

  3. Next day, 7 a.m.

    It’s in your report.

Questions

How does Napkin know what customers asked for?
The beacon picks up talk at the counter. Napkin turns it into short notes for your report. Audio is deleted after 7 days by default. You choose how long notes are kept, up to 12 months.
Do I need to tell customers and staff?
Yes. We give you a counter sign and a short note for your team. Rules differ by state, and we’ll walk you through yours on the call.
What does it cost?
About $1 a day. See pricing for details.
Do I need to change my POS or install software?
No. Napkin doesn’t touch your registers.
How does setup work?
Plug the beacon in near the counter and connect it to your store’s Wi-Fi from your phone. Your first report comes within a day or two.
What about my staff?
It’s about the shift, not one person. The report shows what worked so every shift can do it too.
What happens to the data?
